FYI - right-wing protest weekend in DC Sept 23-26
I like to know what they are planning. All 5 of them. Porta-potties included.

If you are the same way, visit

Take a few cleansing breaths and wash your hands after.

As an aside...I meant to bookmark the thread about plans for DUers to meet up before the rally on the 24th. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Peace,

Maggie

1. Where do these people get the idea that Democrats don't
support the troops? What am I missing here?

Our men and women in the military have my wholehearted support. This Administration, which started a preemptive war based on false evidence, however, does NOT.

2. It's quite simple really.
They assume that anyone who does not support the Iraq War hates the soldiers serving there. I've stopped arguing against this point on other forums.

5. Thanks, Colonel and Zola
I guess some people just aren't happy unless they have something or someone to hate. Lord knows individuals like Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, etc., do their very best to throw the metaphorical lit match onto gasoline-soaked rags.

My brother retired a year ago after 21 years in the Marines. He's a veteran of the Persian Gulf War and the War in Iraq. We may have our differences in the political realm, but he's my brother and I love him and have always supported him (and vice-versa). A group of us (friends and neighbors, all Democrats) recently sent a "care box", along with a stack of letters of support, to an Army unit serving in Iraq.

Those people really need to get a reality grip.

7. Six, we always forget to count the photographer
They'd all be in the photograph if they could just figure how to operate the self-timer. ;)
