To the DU Administration

I was just wondering if they know how slow DU is running?When I read a post it takes over 30 seconds to return to front page.Although it loads the post normally.3 days now.

Could be a network thing.

And we're not in a reduced functionality mode either. Perhaps emptying your temp files and browser history files will help.

5. Only DU is slow on my puter

every other site loads normally. Been slow for last 3 days.

6. It is because of DNS problems with blogads...

Americablog disabled blogads for that reason:

I had to remove blogads from the site until their DNS propagates. That means I lose all my blogads page views today, which lowers my ranking, which lowers my ad sales, but at least it means the damn site will load quickly now, as will the comments. www.americablog.org


It hangs because DU must wait for blogads to load from their server which appears to be royally screwed up due to DNS issues..

It is probably only severely noticeable for those on slower DSL or dial-up. I sent Elad a PM asking if there was any possibility of loading the ads directly to DU servers to buypass this.... No response yet.

On edit, just saw an email response from Elad: he says it is a regional problem with blogads and is checking into it....

that the DNS does not belong to DU.
