1. Honestly... how much lower could it get?
I mean, there will always be 35% of the people in this country who worship that asshole as some sort of fucking diety.

There's a hard cap and we're approaching it right now.

8. I think it is closer to 25 or 30%
But we are just gonna have to write them off.

3. "undecided"
His numbers are so low that he really wouldn't have to do much to get a bump of a few points. That's the danger with his numbers this low...it's difficult to get them to move lower.

5. Won't matter. He's going to resign.
Just a hunch. It's his body language in the last few days that tells me he can't hack it anymore, and has just woken up to the awful reality of what he's done.

Poppy has had a chat with him, and he's not going to be playing with his airplanes and limos, any longer. The JCS had a man-to-man with Poppy.

Just a hunch, nothing more.

15. Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The only guys who can and will force him out. It won't be done with a bang, but a whimper.

18. OMG! LMAO!
Priceless: " "I want the Rice-A-Roni tonight mommy, not the Spaghetti-Os. No Spaghetti-Os for Dubya, mommy."

As he unconsciously flinched, expecting the backhand from Babs that never came. As Condi caressed his flaccid hand, Pickles muttered "get away from him, you bitch."

9. I wish your hunch was right, but
Bush will never resign. To resign is to admit that he is a failure, all he will do is admit that the federal, state, and local govts. (he will share the blame) could have done better and then say it will all be looked at and then say, "the thing right now is to concentrate not on blame but on rebuilding NO."

6. A marginal increase, perhaps.
He might get a little bump if the media hammers on the "oh, what a responsible guy" meme.

Then, people will forget about it and his numbers will settle back to pre-responsible-guy-speech numbers.

19. It's how he operates--when push comes to shove, he does the minimum
effort required. Like cramming for an exam the night before, or going on the road and actually campaigning as he had to do in 2004.

He'll be well rehearsed, give a good speech, and get a modest bump, because some people will watch it and think he's a little less of a dick than they thought.

who knows how long it'll last though. The "one nation under god" Pledge thing is a gift, that'll help him with his base.

22. True. Nice timing for Bush.
He'll have something to waste a few minutes on instead of talking about Katrina relief or lack thereof.

7. Depends on who you watch.
Faux News of course will show it jumping drastically!

Is there any real news source that will show it?

11. Down
come on this will mark what - the 15th? 16th? I lose track Major Address on Important Topic on TV in prime time by this loser. Not a damn one has done a damn thing other than panic the public as they get a good view of what the hell is sitting in the oval office pretending to be president. *'s image as a leader of clear vision and quiet strength can only be maintained by keeping * away from people as much as possible when he's in public he's in trouble.

And this speech will be like no other speech in this Administration - for the first time they have had to admit (using as many weasel words as they could) that * and his boys blew it with tragic results when Katrina made landfall. He's not going to trying to scare people or talk about killing people (he likes to do that)no he has to show a) an understanding of what went wrong and b) a real determination to fix it. Don't hold your breath.

14. I say down
People are more skeptical of him and will now be able to see he has no clothes. His war is sh*t started on lies and his flip-flopping on the UN won't help. I thought the UN was irrelevant, but now him and Bolton are tripping over each other to curry a little favor.
His steadfast 29% don't seem to be able to buy a clue.
If he apologizes for being a screwup, he may break even.

and he's NOT acting pres. anymore, do you think Poppy will have him committed again for a little "reprogramming"?
