help me, I'm going over the edge. I don't think I can have a civil conversation with anyone who voted for him or didn't vote at all in 2004.

I'm reading "With God on Their Side" about how much in control of the federal government the fundamentalists are and "The Republican War on Science" about how the GOP went about destroying science in a calculated, coordinated way. First you say what you don't like is "junk" science. Then you say there is "good" science and "bad" science. Then people stop believing anything that is scientific because they are so confused.

This is so much worse than Vietnam. During those years we had two problems, civil rights and the war. It seemed like we could and would make progress because people listened to the facts. Now we have so many more problems because the people are confused. The GOP just makes up shit, makes up the facts. Religion is taking over the government (should I have used past tense?) and science. Are we going to slip into the dark ages? Is this the end?

I don't know whether to kill my self or buy ammunition.

Maybe I'll try out them anti-depressants the whole world seems to be on and I won't care/see it any more.

Any other ideas?

1. Oh, please don't spare Bush...
you wouldn't hate the ones who voted for him if he wasn't deserving of it himself, right?

2. They are just brainwashed, it is easy to fool the weak minded
Edited on Wed Sep-14-05 01:26 PM by Melodybe
I don't blame them as much as I blame the fuckers in the media who made all this brainwashing possible.

But I hate Bushco most of all, sure their followers are homophobic, racist, fundie nutbags, but
Bushco is the devil in the biblical sense, so I hate them the most.

But hey, in your defense, there is nothing wrong with disliking devil worshippers.

3. With the voter discrimination and vote fraud that occurred in Ohio and
elsewhere, you don't need to blame others. Just Bush and his cronies.

6. Do a little more thinking. Outrage at the actual person in charge (or
pretending to be) is the correct thing.
