Lynn Swann for President!
Check this out:

<http://www.espn.go.com/>

And this:

Try and explain that to your African American "brothers."

How about Joe Paterno - "George W Bush is the greatest President ever" - for VP?

Good luck sucker....

I know Swanie was one of my favorites back then. I really wish he never would have tried to get into politics!

7. First, he's challenging Ed Rendell for Gov. of PA.
Fast Eddie has had his problems in my state, but let's not go off the deep end and elect a freaking Republican football player governor of a major blue state!

11. I thought Rendell was a pretty popular Governer.
Is it even possible that Swanie could come close?

BTW, I lived in PGH for 46 years, and still miss my Steelers! I always watch them (the very few times they're broadcast in the South!) or listen to their game on Fieldpass via the net.

8. He took too many hits in his wide receiver days, methinks...
I can barely watch pro football these days because the broadcasts just ooze pro-Republicanism.

12. Joe Paterno is an asswipe.
Another reason for me to hate Penn State.

As for Swann, he is trailing 2 other Repubs in the polls...won't get through the primary. Stick to football commentary, dude.

17. During the campaign last year
at a rally for the murder monkey he absolutely spoke those words. Disappointing. I have always been a Penn State football fan but I will root for them no more until Paterno retires.

22. here's a link... the quote is a tiny bit different
This is the exact quote--
Joe Paterno himself introduced Bush at an evening rally at the York Expo Center, calling him "one of the great presidents of our time."

http://www.phillyburbs.com/pb-dyn/news/103-07092004-329237.html

Joe Pa also greated Bush at the airport and rode in the limosuine with his hero.

18. Read it and weep, sports fans
http://www.usatoday.com/sports/2004-10-27-campaign-players_x.htm

Once players start making the big money they suddenly become Republicans. I have no other explanation for it.

20. Maybe we could get Franco Harris to run against him?
Franco came out in Pgh to support Kerry. I have no idea if he has any political ambitions, but I know he's a supporter! :)
