Well, I'm sure his teacher is a democrat. One thing you could point out is that he's signed every piece of Democrat legislation that they've put on his desk. I don't think he's vetoed anything. So the dems got what they wanted, except for these judges. So if the poor are suffering then they're to blame as well.

This is what Bush has done for this nation. Back when we were liked but disrespected, we were being attacked by terrorists and doing nothing about it.

...which could have easily been prevented if * did little things like READ every once in a while. But other than that, he's done a smashing job of protecting the country. Oh yeah, and the pathetic response to Katrina which has cost billions of $ as well as thousands of lives. Other than those two little snags, he's done a great job. Of course, we have almost no national guard now and our unjustified war in Iraq has turned it into a breeding ground for terrorists. But other than those 3 little things, fantastic job. And of course I can't forget.....

But to those of them who responded with something like - "Since when is government supposed to be responsible for the poor", I'd respond with something from that little ol' thing called the Constitution.
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America
Or don't the freepers remember that document?

of denial I see on that page, there is a significant rise in the number of people living in poverty in this Country that is on the rise because of the attuitudes we see every day from those people who think they know where the money should be spent. Bush spends money corruptly, so dollar figures mean nothing. Unemployment is low but wages are way way down. To be politically correct in Republican terms is to believe in trickle down economics, but unfortunately for the poor all that trickles down is Republican urine.

Whenever they talk about "the economy" they're talking about the GDP - which is merely the total spent on all goods and services. "Goods" includes yachts and pot. "Services" includes prostitution, bribes, and medical care. When millionaires play "musical yachts" it adds to the GDP. A lot of dollars spent by a few people is the same as a few dollars spent by a lot of people.
