Obama on Anderson Cooper: |
|
Edited on Wed Sep-14-05 06:13 PM by crispini
"I'm not interested in fixing blame, I'm interested in fixing the system." (re: Katrina)
Hm.... I'd like to fix some blame, myself, and THEN fix the system.

1. He's demonstrating TRUE LEADERSHIP! |
|
He doesn't need to afix blame. The American people watched the debacle unfold live on television right before their eyes.
Showing that he is concerned about fixing the mess demonstrates true leadership.

4. I think Obama looked pissed and nervous when Cooper said that |
|
IMO, that's a good sign. He was not going to turn on the mayor of NOLA and didn't like being baited into it.
I'm still holding out hope for Obama. He's playing it safe now, but give him time to get his bearings in the Senate.

removed. Period. Investigate it all and let te chips fall.
And remember: the survivors, responders, and rescue workers are, for the most part, still VERY busy right now. THEIR stories have only begus to trickle out. The MSM likes horror too much to ignore them when they start talking.

6. I also thought it was interesting that he ........ |
|
talked about how FEMA used funds in Florida to pay for funerals that were NOT related to hurricane deaths and generally have misused funds. He was pointing this out because he recommended a CFO to oversee monies appropriated to FEMA for Katrina-related relief.

Here's something else you can do:
Visualize IMPEACHMENT!!!!! And then call Cynthia McKinney's and John Conyers' offices and give them encouragement!!!
(877) 762 - 8762 - TOLL FREE to the Capitol Hill Switchboard. They'll transfer you, FREE, to anybody's office in the House and/or Senate.

9. Last week they were after Obama for not answering the question: "should |
|
Brown of FEMA be fired". That's a little ridiculous seeing as how it was the President of the United States who should actually be the one having to answer that. And didn't in the end.
