If you stand in the light, |
|
you get the feel of the ride And the music that plays in your ears In your head you can hear, a voice so sweet and clear And the music that plays in your head As it flows up from the ground Taking all who hear that sound Close your eyes, its about to begin
Thank you Robin T, old friend.
But I keep trying to stand in the light and I'm still suffocating. The City of New Orleans is suffocating. The heat outside is taking my breath away and the sun already died a bloody death. Havoc and Mayhem are America's latest Royal Couple. The TV people and the Politician People are laughing at us. I got mine, they say. Nothing changes.
That song popped into my head and won't leave, but I only have it on LP and don't even have my turntable hooked up.

You are guilty of Excess Taste. Gotta wait a while for the rest of the world to catch up, y'know. Great poetry will out.
