Can anyone recommend a good book on how China now owns the US? |
|
I want to read more on why the US owes so much in debt to China.

1. Because China buys it. It's an open market and anyone can. |

3. My Brother (A Stockbroker) made a good point about the U.S. and China |
|
and the amount of U.S. debt they hold. If you borrow $1000.00 from a bank that has a net worth of 20,000,000 let's say, then the bank owns you (So to speak) But if you borrow $19,000,000 from that same bank, then...well.....you pretty much own the bank.
This is, i (And my brother) admit, pretty simplistic but the idea is sound. Many fear that the Chinese might "Foreclose" on their Treasury Bonds but that won't happen. They have too much to lose and way more to gain if they prop up our economy.
One other point about the trade deficit. They (The foreign nations we have trade deficits with) send us T.V's, clothes, shoes, steel and other tangible goods and we send them.....ready?
Money. And if the money loses too much value they're fucked.
