Rove. To discredit the media for attacking "poor little" George.

The picture is odd. It looks to be cut from an original. We need to see the original picture and double and triple check with the photographer to make sure that it is legit.

The angle also is suspect. It's much to convenient an angle for the UN.

I do not believe this is real.

7. That's good. That's much better. The original needs to be circulated.
Not the cropped version. It does the entire petulance of this enough service while seeming more legitimate.

looking down towards condi, it looks like she's showing him the note! In the next pic bolton and condi are both LAUGHING! It looks like condi has the note folded on her knee in the laughing pic.

He*s a complete fucking JOKE and HE* doesn't even know it.

21. He's holding a pencil in writing the note but a sharpie pen in the others
Edited on Wed Sep-14-05 09:23 PM by aint_no_life_nowhere
Anyone notice that? I'm not saying that the Reuters photo isn't true. In fact, the presumption would be that it is genuine considering the source. But the fact is that in that one photo with the note, he's writing with a pencil. Yet the other photos at the DailyKos site show him holding a pen in the right hand.

On Edit: After looking at the Daily Kos photos again, it appears there IS a pencil in one of the photos showing Bush holding a pen. It's located right next to his glasses where his right hand would have been.

34. Just noticed he's hold a pen in all these photo's. There's NO pencil
anywhere on the desk. Who uses pencils these days? Most of these people at the UN would have their own special pen.

36. There IS a pencil on the desk, right next to his glasses
in one of the Daily Kos photos. Apparently, he's using both pens and pencils. So far, the photo looks legit, but you never know.

39. There are two pencils in the upper right corner of the desk
They are definitely there. Why he switched from a capped sharpie pen to the pencil, who knows? Maybe he's anal about making mistakes?

22. No, it is real. Editor & Publisher has the story-- photog was
a Denver-Based Reuters photographer that had just done more than a week's duty in NOLA. That likely explains his eagerness to capture the Chimp in all his "glory."

Check out Editor&Publisher.com or Americablog.com or DailyKos for the details.

Published: September 14, 2005 7:35 PM ET

NEW YORK In what seems destined to become one of the most yacked about photos of the month, if not year, a Reuters photographer today seems to have captured President George W. Bush scribbling a note to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice suggesting that he needed to take a "bathroom break" during a session at the United Nations.

The photo by Denver-based Rick Wilking, taken over a man's shoulder, shows an official -- identified in the caption (at Reuters' official site) as President Bush -- scribbling in pencil on a small white piece of paper the words: "I think I MAY NEED A BATHROOM break?"

Bush tends to write in all cursive, I think. See this link:

http://www.handwriting.org/main/samples/gwbush.htm

That might be the setup. Although I'd like to see a sample of Condi's to compare it to.
