Hiding Katrina body count? |
|
As the *admin tries to prevent news coverage of the fatalaties in New Orleans I've realized the death toll MUST turn out to be less than that of Sept 11. That is, any number higher would shrink the impact of the single most effective (yet overused) talking point in w's reign. If they can rig an election, how hard would it be to "miscount" the dead?

they'll classify all sorts of deaths as other causes, like they do with casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan.

5. They've already set the stage for their next BIG LIE, lotd. |

Mayor Ray Nagin said earlier this month that New Orleans could have 10,000 dead. But a street-by-street sweep of the city last week yielded far fewer bodies than feared, and authorities said the toll could be well below the dire projections. They offered no specific estimates. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050913/ap_on_re_us/katrina_counting_the_dead

4. My lingering and panic filled question is |

Why aren't they considering the task of finding and burying the dead a top priority? I find the delay extremely distressing. How many times have you seen reports on massive deaths in an area and how all the people hurry to bury the dead to avoid the spread of disease? I've seen it many times. Isn't anyone else concerned about the threat of a massive spread of disease in the United States? This negligence is going to create a horrendous and monumental nightmare for our country if they don't get on the stick and get the dead buried or refrigerated or something.

Can they just put him in a refrigerated truck by himself or maybe with Cheney, Rice and Rumsfeld?
