Chertoff will be following Brownie's exit route after Bush speech...!
On the fourth day, after TV had been filled with live reports from the center describing sexual assaults, robberies and gunfire, single mothers desperately seeking help for their children and fathers doing their best to protect them.
The federal official charged with leading the hurricane response, Michael Chertoff, responded to an interviewer's question by saying it was the first he had heard that people "don't have food and water in there." (but, isn't that what Brown said!)

No one has been able to say how many people died inside the convention center; police, military and center officials estimate the number is about 10.
there hasn't been any attempt to document the number of assaults, robberies and rapes that eyewitnesses said occurred from the time the first people broke into the convention center seeking shelter on the afternoon of Monday, Aug. 29, and when units of the Arkansas National Guard moved into the center on Friday, Sept. 2.

Rumor going arounf the beltway that more heads will roll, most likely after Bush's thursday night speech to offer assurance to the American people that, "progress is being made".

1. I would love to believe that you are corrcet
But I fear that becuase Chertoff is a real BFEE player, they would never let him go.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you are right on this :)

5. Indeed. His behavior was almost criminal
Brownie was clueless, stupid, and irresponsibly unqualified. Chertoff just sat on his ass on purpose!

6. The last number I saw was about 22 deaths at the Superdome
Also only one person has come forward so far, Charmaine Neville of the Neville Bros family, has come forward to report a rape at the Dome.

7. I think you can count on this being Bush's CYA speech. If that
means someone has to be fired to take the heat off him, he'll sacrifice anyone he needs to. I don't think he has any intention of taking any responsibility for the utter and complete fiasco that happened after Katrina. He will announce that someone else made grave mistakes, errors in judgment, etc. Then he'll fire that person and expect everything to be fine.

9. Rove is merely playing Chertoff as he did with Brown anyone's expendable
to have it appear Bushie is on top of things, eliminating Chertoff results will be no more effective then having Brownie reign, none, nada,
too little too late.
