3. Actually it kind of proves that the note is a fake
The "I" in the bathroom note is different. It is like a printed "I" in two places. The "I" in the other note is different.

Like a printed "I"??? What are you talking about? It's obviously handwritten.

11. It demonstrates his consistent inconsistencies in writing
In both notes, he prints AND uses cursive.

In both notes, he randomly utilizes capital letters and lower case letters.

IIRC, this is also indicative of some mental issue, although I cannot recall what it is.

14. Nah, I do that when I'm writing.
I'm lazy and have a combination of script and printing. I'll use both in the same note as well. You do not know how heinous sharing that trait with GWB makes me feel. Ew, off to shower!

22. Same here.
I'm going to have to rededicate myself to my cursive penmanship. I hate the thought that I have that in common with Chimpy.

Unfortunately for me, I also share his last name. :(

And, yes, it does suck as much as you'd expect. Luckily, I'm no relation whatsoever, a fact for which I am eternally thankful.

16. actually, the "I's" are consistent
he uses a block capital I when talking about Himself, and a cursive capital otherwise.

i'm kinda surprised he doesn't talk about himself in third person.

27. Actually the block capital only refers to Michigan....
Edited on Thu Sep-15-05 12:35 PM by defiant1
in the first letter, and it's cursive for the all the times he refers to himself.

I don't buy it.

Since in the bathroom note, he writes out the 2 block capitol Is in the first sentence, and then for some reason swtiches to cursive for Is this possible.

At first I thought he wrote it out block so Condi could read it, but that doesn't explain the second sentence.

My skeptic sense is tingling....

Me Me Me Me! I I I I! It looks like he uses a big, bold 'I' when he's referring to himself.

the printed I in both notes, and the similarities between the script I in both notes. It is the same hand.

23. Look closer.
He uses the block I and the cursive I in both notes, interchangeably.

Also, is it common to condense 'with' as '/w'? I have always written it 'w/'. Am I the one that's a moron?

I wondered too. Now that we've established that even vampires have to take a leak sometimes, can we get on with the business of saving our country?

12. BBC just reported on it:

Bush 'caught short' at UN summit

It's a situation anyone could find themselves in - having to answer the call of nature in the middle of an important meeting.
But when you are the US president, at a gathering of more than 150 world leaders, it is even more tricky.

While talk at the UN world summit was focused on terrorism and internal reform, George W Bush appeared to have been caught short.

And, he is said to have turned to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice for advice.

"I think I may need a bathroom break? Is this possible?" a Reuters news agency photographer caught him writing in a note to Ms Rice.

32. I still don't think he had to go. I think he wanted to use it as an excus
to ditch the rest of the meeting in which he wasn't center stage.

I think that was why he put a question mark after bathroom break when he wasn't asking a question. I think he wanted to know if he could use that as an excuse.

Has there been any comment from the WH? Are they letting it stand at face value?

33. I agree with your take
There is a photo of him smirking and putting up his hand, like a little boy who wanted to be excused.
He's so full of himself that he just didn't want to sit and listen to anyone else.
