Just two words which should stop ANY senator from confirming Roberts |
|
Michael Brown.
The appointment of Michael Brown to the post of FEMA head would never have happened had anyone actually vetted the man. His nomination was a clear indication, made even more clear after Katrina, that George Bush does NOT place nominations based upon qualifications. Roberts/BushCo is deliberately withholding PUBLIC RECORDS which would allow the senators to thoroughly examine his qualifications.
It is that simple. Bush is a proven Crony-promoter who cares not about the people, unless those people helped him on the way up. Period. That is no way to appoint ANYONE, let alone Chief Justice to the Supreme Court.
This isn't even about Roberts. It is about the process. Any senator who votes to confirm this man should be absolutely ashamed of himself.

2. Hadn't thought of it that way. |

You have a good point.
I just assumed the hidden and accidentally lost records just showed he was evil.
Now there are two possibilities!

3. Thinking along the "same" but "different" line |
|
I know that Bush absolutely loves to spit in the face of the American people. I know he utterly adores division. I know he wants not to just 'beat' Dems, he wants to punish them and erradicate them. So, why in the hell when the biggest kick in the face he can give this nation and the Dems presents itself in the form of appointing a SC justice and particulary the Chief one, would be decide to put on just a easy, middle of the road, mildly conservative one??? Roberts is ready to cleanse this country---ultra right wing way--mark my word.
