Why dubya "bathroom" photo is a fake, debunked...
Edited on Thu Sep-15-05 12:41 PM by Atman
Sorry...so many responses in that thread, I wanted to make this more readily available. Here is the link to my response to that crazy thread. In fact, I forgot one major point. In his attempts to show all the artifacts which OP claims as proof of a fake, he actually enlarges the photo to show you.

That CREATES and MAGNIFIES the artifacts, and when he re-saved the blow-ups to show them, the .jpg process created artifacts around the artifacts, only compounding the issue, certainly not clarifying it.

My Debunking of the Debunking

4. Snopes.com has confirmed it's authenticity
and while snopes.com is often very slanted to the right, the are reluctant to confirm things that have the least margin of dispute. If they say its true, its true.

8. Snopes has it as undetermined at the top
of the page, but from the description, they don't seem to have any problem with believing it's true.

But like you said, they do tend to go to the right an awful lot.

question about how he could stand by his "artifact" argument when his proof of fraud was a blown-up partial of the original photo.

I don't know squat about photoshop, but even I could see that fallacy.
