We should lay the blame at the feet of those that deserve it.
I was thinking, We need to place the blame squarely where it belongs, the Bush voters.

I would recommend that we start a campaign within this community, the other blogs we read, the other forums we go to, the people we meet that we start to place the blame at the feet of those that placed this administration in power.

The fact is those that voted for him have the blood of those soldiers that have does in Iraq, the Iraqis themselves, and the 100’s dead in the gulf coast.

Bush Supporters, You have Blood On Your Hands.

All of the Deaths that we are bearing witness to are your fault. Freepers that read this, the levees broke because of you. 1896 US Soldiers are dead because of you. 10’s of thousands of Iraqis are dead because of you. Maybe thousands in New Orleans are dead because of you. Poverty has increased because of you. Our economy is in the tank because of you. Our word to are allies is meaningless because of you. Gas prices are the highest they have ever been because of you. Abortions are up because of you. Our boarders are a sieve because of you. Our environment is in shambles because of you.

This is your fault; all these things are stains on your hands. Because of you this nation is in shambles.

We need to start guys, make these people embarrassed, let them know that their vote has consequences.

Thanks for letting me rant.

1. You're right
Republicans seem to live in a consequence-free zone. They need to have their part in the * debacle drilled home.

2. That's gonna make them vote Dem, all right!!
How about letting (the mostly powerless) people have a psychological out, instead of shaming them into defending their position??

Humiliation hardly ever makes people turn good.

Instead, I think we should be saying, "Your president LIED to you! You voted for him because he said he'd keep your family safe, but he failed!"

4. Humiliation is a great tool
I will tell you a real story...

When I was in the Military we had a sign outside the base gate that said " days without a drunk driver"

Here was the deal, every 150 days we went without a drunk driver we got a free day off.

Here was the kicker, when the number was reset (Because we did have a drunk driver) that person stood next to that sign in FULL dress blues It said "0 days without a Drunk Driver" and a new sign (for that day) thanks to Airman John Smith 89th Medical Wing...

The Humiliation was so great that we went 363 days without a drunk driver.

There are tons of cases where Humiliation works.

5. Well, okay!
But my experience is as a teacher and a parent, and I found that if you humiliate kids to get them to do what you want them to do, they end up resenting you -- even hating you -- which will backfire in the long run, even if it works in the short run.

I would say that the day-off incentive and the fear of letting down your friends was just as important as the humiliation, in your case...

6. Someone else here at DU made this Incredible Bumper Sticker
"The Blood of New Orleans
Is On Republican Hands."

White text on black background.

He/She's getting quite a bit of reaction displaying it, too.

I think someone may have put it up on CafePress.com.
