I keep thinking back to the rumors of August of 1973 when people in the White House were issuing secret orders to the pentagon and others to not-take immediate action on orders of the president for things like nuclear launch codes.
Even if DU has skewed the poll by a couple of points, it still is a bit spooky to see presidential numbers this low, as it points to serious instability at the White House and possibilities of them doing something very stupid and irretrievable. I for one am not looking forward to the Cheney presidency, but it may not be far off.
