Does Bush always have to have a fireman in a shot with him now? |
|
I was just watching CNN and as Bush walked across for the shot, there were firemen in the background, doing nothing besides standing 20 feet away in a wide, open area. In full uniform just standing there as if it was just for the shot.

5. Didn't they fire 50 firemen after the gold from a vault was found? |
|
At least that's what I remember of firemen, 9/11, and the rubble afterwards.

9. Those firemen ought to be thoroughly ashamed, |

allowing themselves to be used for photo-op purposes by MIWOP bush.

See what happens when you turn in false alarms Georgie. It's more difficult to respond to REAL emergencies.

he likes to surround himself by men and women who deserve the uniforms they wear. Call all psychiatrists. More fodder for research papers.

18. He wouldn't be able to find two firefighters to stand with him in my town. |
|
During this whole crisis, I've been hanging around the firehouse in my sleepy little Mississippi town that was destroyed by Katrina--my father and brother are both volunteer firefighters, and I drive the equipment van when needed. There are about 10 regulars--firefighters (all good ol' boys except for me, and I guess I'm a good ol' gal :-) ) who hang around the firehouse--there each day.
You should hear the foul spew that comes out of their mouths when Bush, FEMA, or Michael Brown is mentioned.
Nope. Bush has few fans in our region. In this area, the cars were formerly peppered with Bush/Cheney bumper stickers. When I helped at water and ice hand-outs, I watched rear bumpers and I listened to people (known former Bush supporters) chatting with others in line. Ain't much support for Bush in this area. Not anymore.
