What Do You Think Of The FX Show "Over There"?
I believe they are comming up on their 5th episode, or maybe its the 4th. I am comming to like the show very much. I wouldn't pretend to know to know what its like for our military in Iraq I do think the show accurately portrays what its like to be a young soldier in war. I say that as a veteran of foreign war, long ago, myself and some things never change. Are any of you all watching it and what do you think of it?

1. No thanks.
Some lemmings actually have posted on the internets that this series is proof that Abu Ghraib did not happen. Yikes.

2. I've seen it a few times and like it
It is complicated and doesn't simplify things. I hope it stays on the air - most people in the U.S. are to far removed from Iraq to have any clue as to what its like - even though it is fictionalized I think it has the potential to get people to think

3. not watching.
a fictional tv show about a current war... I dunno... Just seems inappropriate and opportunistic to me. Yet another way for corporations to profit. :eyes:

4. Jennifer Lynch needs to sue them.
She wouldn't win but they need to be pointed out for their whoring of her story.
