The more I watched this speech, the more frustrated I felt. He always seems to throw in "tax cuts for small businesses," and he even threw in "minority small businesses"...he welcomes them...:eyes:
Bush talks so much about what he thinks will "fix" the poverty problem when he is missing the boat so bad. For one thing, why didn't he mention raising the minimum wage. Nany of those in poverty work on minimum wage. He talks about a measly 5,000 to draw from for education--give me a break...:eyes:
It was a bunch of empty promises that still is laced with a republican agenda.

Did you notice that he mentioned minority businesses and then immediately afterwards he talked about rebuilding houses and said locals would have priority for housing but he DIDN'T say minority locals?

he still doesn't grasp what has caused so many to fall into poverty under his "watch"--
I just don't get it...he wants to address poverty but doesn't say one damn word about raising the minimum wage.
