I get nervous when Republicans want to start using Federal money
Edited on Thu Sep-15-05 09:57 PM by Quixote1818
to rebuild a whole city. I actually think Bush is serious about fixing New Orleans and turning it into the perfect Conservative city, run by conservative business people where Halliburton gets most of the Federal money to fix things up. Bush LOVES federal money when he gets to be God and mold things exactly the way he wants them to be. He wants New Orleans to be his legacy since Iraq, social security and everything else he has tried to accomplish has fallen apart. New Orleans is his last chance at preserving his legacy.

My gut feeling listening to him was that he sees himself as the artist who will design New Orleans for the future just like he wanted to turn Iraq into the perfect Consecrative country with a flat tax etc until the people of Iraq spoke and rejected everything they tried to sneak in. Now Iraq will be nothing like Bush originally wanted it to be. New Orleans will be a lot easier target for a conservative take over.

I actually think they will pump money into New Orleans and Halliburton and all his cronies will get rich off OUR federal money and in the end all the poor you saw their before will come back in only to work for slave wages for the fat cats in their shiny new towers of the future.

Am I the only person who sees it this way?

1. It is either money that sinks government in a bathtub or money that
the non-sacrificing elites will fork out in paying proper taxes.

2. Please, did you watch the speech? Did he look like he was going
make a killing in the market. Katrina showed that the Repub. version of gov't. is seriously flawed, and that they just blew their game winning National Defense/Security cover argument. I, actually think they know, they are done. It is not a matter of false propaganda now, it was covered live, up close and personal.

The Repub's know they have lost the trust of most of their constituents (2006 will prove this), and their agenda. If they try to blatantly pull the same stuff as in Iraq, they will not got away with it.

3. As long as you realize public money
is for the private sector (ie:big business), it's easy to follow.
