AOL Poll Please DU! 37% Poor Speech; 32% Excellent...several questions
Note that there are 8 total questions on this AOL page. This poll was up before the speech, and his numbers were very poor. The questions are the same except the one pertaining to his speech performance. Try to answer as many as you can, but especially the speech rating! Thanks all.

it's his fault for listening only to his advisors, and acting like an ass when he gets bad news, so that they eventually only give him good news.

I'm very curious to see the official polls when they come out.

Geeze, 32% found his speech excellent but 54% are not at all confident in him... That's like saying, loved the words, just don't believe them coming from you.

The Iraq poll had a pic of fallen soldier's helmets; the war on terra poll had a pic of MIA bin Laden; the economy poll had a pic of gas at a whopping $3.69. Sends a clear message, doesn't it?

Did Bush's advisers fail him during the Hurricane Katrina crisis?

I said no. They didn't fail him. They certainly failed the country but they did exactly what he wanted them to do, which was make government fail and screw anyone who didn't have an SUV and a credit card to get out of town and stay out.

I guess his little charade didn't work last night.

Pictures speak louder than words and all the footage from the first days of the hurricane will remain in people's minds. He can use any symbolic backdrop he wants (like the cathedral).

I would like to see him stand in front of a prison. Right before he is admitted.

posing and posturing for a history book photo-op just served to anger me. He destroyed the most unique American City, and thousands (millions) of lives by his failures. And now, his vultures are coming in to feast on the havoc that they created.

I can't watch him - haven't been able to since before the 2004 election.

I only visited New Orleans once, back in 1980 and have great memories of that visit. Just looking at him standing in this eerie blue light in the middle of one of the most beautiful spots in NO makes me sick.

I've been reading DU since pre-election debates, and I found out more than I need to know about this B*tard, whom I've despised since SCOTUS selection 2000. I've tried to watch him and Cheney, but I can't. Last night my poor dog thought that I'd lost my mind. I was screaming 'hypocrite' (Compassion? How dare you!) and 'murderer'! I had to turn it off for the sake of my beloved Penney!

66. I think a lot of people were probably mislead by this question, as I was.
I answered yes to both, because both are true, but it makes it appear that he is less responsible for this horrendous disastrophy (heh-heh to paraphrase TDS), which is predominately his fault! I think the pollsters get the overall message though! He is toast.

68. There's that magical 32% again.
We see over and over, that's the number of people who vote positively for Bush no matter what.

32% is the opposition. They are not a majority.
