Vae Victus: A Memorandum to Ideological Shifts. (Please, discuss)
Edited on Fri Sep-16-05 12:18 AM by cssmall
This may be slightly meandering, so please, give me a chance to make good on all points that I wish to make. You see, it may take me a while to slither through this snake of an idea I have for a post. When I write here, I typically have a format, much like I would when writing up a site report and/or analysis. Yet tonight, I seem to have no real precedent to even attempt a perspective laden diatribe.

Sitting in my Lay-Z-Boy, I relaxed into my chair and spoke with my mother about watching the debate tonight. The conversation was interrupted, pleasantly, by my young daughter giggling and playing, which, of course, made grandmother all the much happier. The conversation ended before the speech began, which is normally out of my operating procedure, I prefer to hear the sailent points of the speech after it is done and then analyze the speech itself and begin comparative analysis with previous attempts to say what was said.

Guys, please read this post at my blog, if you don't mind.

1. Did he really say this?

I didn't see the speech - are you being sarcastic, or did he really say this? I'm stunned.

"As all of us saw on television, there is also some deep, persistent poverty in this region as well. And that poverty has roots in a history of racial discrimination, which cut off generations from the opportunity of America."

P.S. You should use the permalink to your article,
in case you make another blog entry and people can't find it

3. Maybe I should watch his speech
I'm seeing all kinds of crazy stuff about it.
I don't know what to make of it.
But then, it's just a Bush speech, meant to mislead people.
