The Saddest Stranded Dog Photo Yet! With a Happy Ending....

A dog stranded for days in high floodwaters in New Orleans found shelter in this AC unit cage. He was pulled to safety by an HSUS rescue team. (Tim Carman/The HSUS)

 OMG that poor baby. Thank God they saved him...

1. Only managed to se about 5 minutes of TV last night, replay of KO
where some Guardsmen were patiently coaxing a dog stranded on a second floor stair landing to let them feed itsome MREs and water. Ended with then gently getting the dog in a big kennel box and taking it with them in a punt. Made my day.

4. Poor doggy :(
I'm trying to figure out how the hell he got in that cage . . . doesn't look like there's enough space anywhere for him to get in there.

At least they got him out and are getting him help.

5. Oh, my God. That is so awful for that poor baby. SO glad they saved him!
 How terrible that he was in that situation, yet how clever he was to find a way to save himself from the flooded waters. Talk about resilience!
