First the 'bathroom break' photo and now this. M$M not helping Jr.'s image
Edited on Fri Sep-16-05 08:56 AM by txindy
Did someone desperately trying to raise his poll numbers actually address the nation in a misbuttoned shirt last night?! Tell me I'm not seeing this properly. Even Junior isn't this dense - is he? Did the little twit's handlers let him go out on live TV with the second button of his shirt buttoned into the third buttonhole?

Adding: This is about credibility at this stage and someone who can't even dress himself - or find people to ensure that someone dresses him - has none, IMO. (Oops, spelling. )

Let's see some captures from different times during the speech to compare.

It looks like he screwed the pooch to me, but I'm not 100% sure.

20. No, not really
Just measure the amount of cloth between the top button and either collar. Dubya buttoned himself in the dark, or he was fried, or nervous, or just plain dumb...

38. LOL! That's why we start them out young.
From preschool days on, it's been, "Son, start at the bottom and work your way up. You won't have to do it twice, that way."

Unfortunately for Junior, Babs never took that time with him and it seems his staff just doesn't care any more. Either that or no one dares tell him the truth about ANYTHING. "You tell him!" "Not me! YOU tell him!" "UH-UH!! YOU!!" "Oops. Too late."

missed the button. I thought he lost his neck--perhaps a bullet proof vest under the shirt. It looks too small for him. Even us poor working stiffs can button out shirts...and we don't have someone to dress us for every occasion.

11. And would it have killed him to put on a tie and suit coat?
Surely he wasn't trying to project the image that he was taking time out from helping the real relief workers to give his little address, was he? I know savvy four-year-olds who wouldn't have been fooled by that bit of stage managed chicanery, but no doubt it played well with Bush's base: The haves, the have-mores, and the too stupid to be out in public without accompaniment.

The "unused" button on his right would appear to be the button that you would use when wearing a tie (which he isn't). It's common on dress shirts.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x4789414I haven't seen a still photo of it yet, but they did show a few shots from the side last night and it sure looked like he had another HUGE back bulge last night. Not just a bulge, but a almost pointy looking lump in the middle of his back.

I was wondering if the mis-button was on purpose to accommodate what ever that "thing" was on his back last night.

Anybody have one of those side shots?

he might have one of his prompting devices under his shirt, though a big one that has a greater range because he is far from any hidden prompting trailer or room, hence its large size

Edited on Fri Sep-16-05 09:00 AM by KoKo01
too something seemed a little "off" about it. It could very well be a misbutton or that his neck is too short for a wide collar shirt and so the collar is lying more flat than it should. The shirt looks too large for him, also. The shoulders are hanging off.

Definitely looks like there's more fabric on his left where the button hole is than there should be, though. :D

When we need leadership the most, we get someone not as competent as a Kindergardener. Ok, I understand his daddy’s been able to bail him out of every single mess his whole life – Bush 41 only served 1 term, he’s constitutionally eligible to serve another – at this point, I’d even take Daddy stepping in once again to dig us out of these shitholes Jr keeps creating.
