The South will rise again. |
|
Oh, no. He said "New Orleans will rise again." But did he really mean the first? Country controlled by southern states, Texas, Florida? He is doing a pretty good job of "keeping the ----s down."
It reminds me of his "crusade" line. More truth than he meant to expose perhaps.

1. The city will be gentrified |
|
I saw an article that said that speculative developers are trying to buy up the underwater land and houses. The "Old South" will rise again in the sense that it will be filled with wealthy people being served by poor ones. What else is new?

Edited on Fri Sep-16-05 09:17 AM by tx_dem41
now the Government should NOT be helping New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. Last two weeks, when the Govt wasn't helping, we were demanding that the Feds help. Now that Bush has proposed help, we are against it. When are we going to be proactive around here instead of just reactive (to *)?

|
it's just my opinion. I'm not saying it shouldn't happen, I'm just pointing out how the south drains the north.

The notion that ports are of no real importance is so staggeringly idiotic that I could not believe anyone would seriously suggest it.
Clearly I was wrong. My apologies.

New Orleans is valuable for getting things from A to B, but it's still the people at B that are paying for the goods in motion. In doing such, New Orleans does help the economy, but it's only source of local income is service fees.

But, I don't expect you to understand.
After seeing the little class warfare game you are playing here, I believe I understand a lot more than you think I do. I understand completely. ;)
Say hi to your friends for me. ;)

Does this mean that we can make up our minds on our own, rather than waiting to see what George W. thinks about something and then reflexively taking the opposite position?
I think I need to go sit down for a moment--I have been taken with an attack of the vapors!

22. this is what I took him to mean when he said he'd rebuild Lott's house |
|
it was secret code for his neo-confederate supporters that he was in on the plan to remove the negro problem and rebuild the Old South.
And he'll enjoy sitting on the porch.
