How many dead in NO?
I haven't seen a report on this for a few days. Last I heard it was around 250-350.

6. I am now thinking it will be much lower than originally projected.
The pre-Katrina studies were projecting 50K+ deaths. After Katrina, we heard numbers like 40K was told to a funeral director, 25K body bags, etc. I was one of those who posted the news reports of such high numbers.

I hope that these numbers we are seeing are truly representative of a much lower fatality total.

The greatly lower numbers will NOT be due to ANY gov't action at any level, but will be due to the people having a LOT more common sense than either side has given them credit for. The average person may not be so dumb after all.
