I'm looking for a quote, or an article...
Somewhere, I believe it was an interview on the Al Franken show a while back, I heard one of his guests talk about what it was like to work with Bill Clinton. And the quote went something like this:

******
During a staff meeting, if Bill Clinton didn't know much about a topic, he would sit and listen and not have much to say on it. Then he would research that topic like crazy that night, and the next day he would know more about the subject than anyone in the room.
******

Don't know if this line is available on the web anywhere. I've been kinda looking for it for the past 15 minutes with no luck. Regardless, wouldn't it be a dream to have a president like THAT again?!! Someone with an actual desire to learn about things?!!!

5. Sounds like something Joe Conason might say.
You might want to start with his writing on Salon.

7. I remember a similar quote about Reagan....
except that if he didn't know much about a topic, his hand would go to the jelly bean dish. If the speaker stayed on the topic much longer, watch out for flying jelly beans.
