Shaq Assists Police in Arresting Man (gay basher)
I'll vote for him if he runs for sheriff. I'm pretty sure he's a Democrat too.

Shaquille O'Neal provided an assist to police over the weekend, trailing a man who allegedly assaulted a gay couple before alerting an arresting officer.

The 7-foot-1 Miami Heat center, who is in the process of becoming a Miami Beach reserve officer, was driving on South Beach around 3 a.m. Sunday. He saw a passenger in a car yell anti-gay slurs at the couple, who were walking, said Bobby Hernandez, a spokesman for the Miami Beach Police Department.

The man then got out of the car and threw a bottle, hitting one of the pedestrians, who was not seriously hurt. The man got back in the car, which sped off. O'Neal followed, flagging down an officer who made an arrest, Hernandez said

cut

O'Neal, who hopes to be a police chief or county sheriff one day, was already being fitted for his Miami Beach police uniform before he helped the police out.

1. O'Neal is a nice guy, a hoot, but insane to be a cop in the field.
No doubt in my mind, a crook with nothing to lose would love to pop a cap in him, at least for notoriety.

3. He's a good man
Glad he was able to assist in getting that a-hole arrested

Being a Lakers fan, I have problems with his work ethic but the man did and does a lot for the community of Los Angeles. In a sport where you've got players saying such things as

"NBA Players need to get payed a lot because we spend a lot" -Ewing
"I need to feed my family"- Spreewell

Shaq stands out as a role model in an industry that has a huge impression on the youth of today

4. Shaq is a pretty decent guy!
He's involved in his local community and police force and he's helping to support 400 families from NOLA I hear.
