Everybody gets a pony and a lifetime supply of ice cream

*² is promising a sweeping program because he knows HE will never be required to actually deliver.. the poorest of the poor have been farmed out to other states...the ones with some means will be required to sign on with the law suits to get insurance companies to pay. *² will use the law suits as an excuse to "hold off" on much government help (you know how he likes to wait until the investigation is over)..and congress will stall and stall..

*² has made the promises, and the next president will end up being the goat, when taxes have to rise or the "Gulf Plan" will get hacked at and or shelved..

This is his little "Somalia" ..for the next president. I think he has seen the handwriting on the wall, and knows that repubes are done for a while.. The budget is already ruined beyond belief, so why not just add a few more zeros..

He gets to be the "good guy" for promising, and the history books will be written that way.. (for a while anyway)..

I detect Poppy's handiwork here

1. Bush is using the fact we feel for the victims of catrina to shut us up.
Unfortunately for him - we will let the victims of Katrina move on with life while we place this whole mess & investigate it in the proper historical context.

It is a good thing that Bush is still leader. Because it will allow such a movement of hatred for neocon ideals..something that will spread and be universally understood by the end of the next three years. Happened in Ontario.

You figure out who they really are and the adult in you feels revolution & disgust.

In fact, I predict a favorable rating in the 20's by January of 06, just based on the real effects of the Credit card company welfare abill and the winter heating oil and gas prices...

3. Iraq Corporatist Fiasco
Not if we use it as an opportunity to drag out all the corruption of this Administration.

Too much for one blog post, but I tried to start...

4. "an opportunity to drag out all the corruption of this Administration"
Yes. I think it's going to be a lot harder for them to hide the corruption of the rebuilding inside the USA than that of the Iraq occupation.

Interesting blog post.
