If we're at war then where are the defense contracts? Mainly ship repair. |

I know that war is bad but if we're at it why dont we build and repair the armaments we need. San Diego's ship repair forecast is gloomy. Why dont they sink $$$$ into reapir work for our ships? It'll put many people to work.

1. When Bush isn't attacking peoples wives and mothers. |
|
He's attacks nations that don't have any weapons. Iraq was a profidious attack. They were Hors De Combat. Kofi Anan needs to removed from office and placed on trial for allowing Bush's the Genocide in Iraq. He is an accessory after the fact.

2. In the "War on Terrorism", ships are weapons platforms only |
|
cruise missile launchers, aircraft carriers and some small boat (landings) only.
Majority of this "combat" is land forces. Sure logistics is needed, but that is outsourced to private firms. In fact even in the land portion of combat, a lot of support services is now being conducted by private firms; Halliburton, Bechtel, etc.

For the past two years the work has been very lean on the SD waterfront.
