Why is the press still buying the GOP blame game spin on Katrina? Funding for the levees was cut by a Republican President, George W. Bush and approved along with massive tax cuts, mostly for the rich, both by the GOP contolled House and Senate. The federal response was totally inadequate due to inept "politically appointed" )by George Bush) management at FEMA (whose budget has been cut by our GOP controlled government) along with the sheer lack of military resources (because they are mostly in Iraq. Who do you guys think you are foooling? The GOP doen't have afoot to stand on and the only people left to pay for Iraq, Katrina and the deficits are the top 1% of income earners and corporate America, whose coffers are stuffed with cash.Who is still drinking the Kool Aid? Get real, the rest of the country is finally awake. Lying, cheating, twisting, spinning and obfuscating is not going to work anymore. This administration has gambled away all trust with the American people. It is time the press realized that if they want to retain any integrity. It is time to clean house. 2006 is the Republicans 1994 election.

1. First of all, please don't call them the "MSM!!!" There's NOTHING... |
|
..."mainstream" about those whores' twisted agenda of greed and manipulation. Please call them what they are, the Corporate Media.
Second, it should be, "Who ARE the Corporate Media kidding." (Media is a plural word.)
Okay, rant off. Welcome to DU.
