Baghdad was rocked by another series of car bombings Thursday that killed at least 31 people including 23 police officers and eight civilians.

Military spokesman Maj. Gen. Rick Lynch says the attacks show that Iraqi militants are desperate.

1. Desperate indeed, because they're in the last throes and they hate freedom
God, what a crock. The only folks who are desperate are the ones who have to rely on these stupid talking points to prop 'em up.

14. "terrorists" have free run of the place. Now who's in their last throes?
Seems like the US military is curled up in the corner sucking it's thumb, all used up. But we must stay the course!

15. Bush wants control of oil - "insurgents" are saying no fucking way
Bush will have to go Nuke nuts or reinstate the draft because it doesn't appear 3-4000, Iraqi troops are enough to quite cut it fighting the so called insurgents. Or, George will have to reinstate the draft as the "commanders on the ground" make more requests for more boots on the ground.

Which has already happened, and each commander is forced into early retirement while being demoted.
