My Aha moment
Even though I am a flag-waving Donk, I have always believed we should "support" the president as members of the loyal opposition. By support, I meant grinding my teeth and looking to the future rather than wasting emotional energy bad mouthing the POTUS. I had faith..FAITH.. that anyone who made it to president, while he might be the other party, was basically bright and able. Because you know, this is America. That's just me.

However, I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT. What did it for me?

One simple fact. That GWB just plain fell apart when Rove was in the hospital with kidney stones. The fact that Rove was gone is (by many reports) the reason that Bush did not even know what was happening.

Now, that is even more disturbing than Reagan getting old and loopy. Because we did not elect Karl Rove.

So, I know a whole lot of you are going..

well, duh, granny, you old idiot. Okay, mea culpa.

1. Dear Grannie, Welcome to the club. Better late than never.
The best politicians hold up to scrutiny. GWB isn't in the category.

2. Welcome to our world, TallahasseeGrannie
Hopefully, you will bring others with you. You have an ability to talk with friends, family that support this maniac. Please bring the light to them too.

Peace.

3. they fooled a lot of people
- including some very smart people - so you're not alone.

Some people - like you - could not fathom the depths of evil to which these individuals aspire. Some people could not comprehend that THIS COUNTRY - could have elections stolen! Some people did not want to see that a cabal of the rich, powerful, and completely self-serving could usurp the very core of what this country stands for.

You've seen the light. Now, get busy telling everyone you know WHAT you know and lets take our country back.

11. The levels of corruption are very difficult to wrap your brain around
Take my husband, for example. He's always been a democrat and didn't like Bush, but for the most part viewed things as "politics as usual".

That is, until they starting beating the war drum for Iraq. He read about the PNAC and finally had his ahHA! moment.

4. And btw, you can still be flag-waving.
Not sure what Donk is but you have just become more patriotic by questioning what is best for the country.

6. Alone, this man cannot govern his way out of a paper bag.
The man called President needs to be capable to lead on his own. Yes he needs to have a team of advisor's to discuss the situations that arise. However, in the end the man in this job needs to be able to differentiate between several ways to go and then make the wisest decisions. Bush is not capable of any of this.

He does not read, watch television or participate in any kind of intellectual thinking or talking. Why then would anyone expect anything more of him? His previous track record points this out quite well.

The havoc he has committed in the past five years has been horrific, can you imagine what the next three years has in store for us? It is not going to be pretty.

8. I never really thought of that way!
When Rove is out of the picture, Bush flounders and sinks. Rove hospitalization and Bush's fall in the polls is proof that Bush is nothing more than a sockpuppet.

Not that we needed more proof.

9. But here is what I wonder
Does GWB KNOW he is a puppet?

I mean, the arrogance... the cowboy swagger. Is it totally a put on or does he believe it? Does he realize he IS his staff or does he think they are there to assist him?

And what if he escapes? I mean he got on camera with his shirt buttoned wrong. They can't be with him all the time?

What if he figures out he is a figurehead and decides it is time to stand on his own?

Holy crap. I'm going to watch a football game.

14. Rove gives George an appearance of caring, He holds the mask
that hides George's shallow attempt at geniality and decency. George doesn't care about anyone who cannot directly help him. He is callous user of people. And he is mean spirited in his disrespect of the American people.

A lot of folk don't want to believe they have been fooled, that they have been so gullible. It takes courage to admit that. :)
