Repeat after me --- PAPER BALLOTS
PAPER BALLOTS - let's speak about PAPER BALLOT's EVERY TIME we get a chance. We HAVE to demand fair elections by having PAPER BALLOTS and EXTENDED voting hours or days! We HAVE to have some way to hold our politicians accountable and until we do, they will be able to do whatever they want!

Attend your parties meetings - ask to be on the agenda to talk about PAPER BALLOTS.

Attend your Board of Elections meetings - demand PAPER BALLOTS

Drop in on your Representatives at ALL levels of GOVT and DEMAND PAPER BALLOTS.

Tell your neighbors you want PAPER BALLOTS.

INCLUDE PAPER BALLOTS on your protest signs!

2. Won't all currently elected officials stay in office via non-paper voting?
How is it to their advantage to advocate paper ballots? Paper ballots only help the non-privileged.

Until Americans can take down the US military, things can only get worse.

I'm looking at France to retire. Whaddya think? Any better suggestions?

9. sorry, I left a couple of blanks in that--Dems in office serve at pleasure
of right unless they have a supermajority of support at home that would make vote changing obvious.

They are useful the way Alan Colmes is to Fox News. The token, whipping boy opposition.

5. On France: move next door to Richard Perle and piss on his grapes
and tell all the neighbors he's a war criminal.

Or move to Canada.

6. its not the ballots and not the machines.
its the integrity of the system.

the touchscreen machines could be fine, with proper auditing.
paper ballots could be made just as corrupt, maybe not as easily, but its not so much the machinery as the integrity.

13. Right. The problem is with the people doing the counting. We need a
system that is mischief proof. Paper isn't the answer.

11. NOTHING WILL CHANGE UNTIL WE GET RID OF THE MACHINES !

GORE and KERRY WON, ...elections are stolen in real time by hackers who change the vote AFTER the polls close, and they can assess the margins of victory they need, to get away with it.. bottom line - exit polls were right before 2000, when Diebold, Sequoia, Triad, etc. took over our elections. Don't listen to Dem's who say that voting machines are O.K. if they give voters paper receipts. RECEIPTS ONLY MATTER IN A RECOUNT. IS CONYERS FOR THROWING THE MACHINES OUT ? THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE IS ELECTION REFORM, NOT WHO RUNS.... WHO RUNS DOES NOT MATTER WHEN ELECTIONS ARE STOLEN.
DIEBOLD = THE END OF DEMOCRACY.
LOOK AT ELECTIONS BEFORE 2000. BACK THEN, EXIT POLLS WERE ALWAYS RIGHT !!!!
NEOCONS ARE NOW TRYING TO SAY EXIT POLLS ARE WRONG !!! ???
THEY ARE RIGHT IN EVERY OTHER COUNTRY - EXCEPT AMERICA ? GIVE ME A BREAK.
***NOTHING WILL CHANGE UNTIL WE GET RID OF THE MACHINES..
WE MUST REPEAT THIS OVER AND OVER TO OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS !
:kick:

12. Paper ballots are no more safe than electronics. Are you aware that..
all kinds of hi-jinks occurred in 2000 and in 2004 with paper ballots. I heard on CNN a day or two after the 2000 election that an election supervisor was found on the beach with a bunch of paper ballots. And what if somebody just render paper ballots uncountable by spilling coffee or liquid on it. And were those paper ballots in issue when Ohio closed down a building where ballots were being counted, under the ruse of and FBI terrorism alert?

The point is, I'm not in favor of paper ballots any more than I'm in favor of electronic ballots. There's got to be a better alternative than paper.

14. CASEOhio is working on a voter initiative for the '06 ballot . It's the
only way (voter initiative) because you will find little support for it with BOEs or elected officials. HCPB!
