2. Don't know, but I'd expect - a LOT more since Katrina. |
|
Isn't Cindy Sheehan going to be there, too?
I do know there are a lot of parallel demonstrations scheduled in other parts of the country. I'm gonna go to one here in L.A. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but at least I can kick this thread for you...
Visualize IMPEACHMENT!!!!!!!! Then go DO something about it.

3. She is supposed to be there. |
|
Hubby and I are going. My brother can't come to DC but is hoping to participate in a local event. I haven't looked at the MoveOn site in awhile but I'd bet they will list where other actions are taking place across the country. I hope DC is way crowded on the 24th.

4. Why are guesses so important? |
|
If you are only going to attend if there are more than some magic number, your motives are less than pure and there is a danger that the optimum number of attendees will not be there for the press to miss.
I get very angry with all the wasted energy spent on guessing how many died, or how many were hurt, or how many will go. Those things are utterly irrelevant not least because they are wrong and there is no way to improve on any guess for next time.
If you believe - GO.

Who are you? I assure you my question about the number of people going was not to make a decision on attending or not. Just wondering how important the issues are to people all over the country. I think that if events like this in DC are well attended it is a good thing. Also will be pleased if people have events other places. Just want to know that our numbers are truly going up. So settle yourself already.

9. go to the DC Forum and read the threads posted there. Lots of info. |
|
You might also try United for Peace and Justice website. Or MoveOn. Or Veterans for Peace... If you live near a major hub there should be buses available.
