it is over now but was great to hear an intellect and real atempt at thiinking about world poverty and environment from people who actualy were in power and have some idea about the complexities of the problems

3. It Is SO Enjoyable To Hear |

Pres. Clinton. My, what a contrast to GW and he has his shirt buttoned corrrectly, too. :D I think Clinton has grown in retirement. He's just damned impressive, but then he doesn't have much competition, unfortunately.

4. I was just commenting to some people: |

do you think Bush could do this (speak extemporaneously about a complex subject)? We all had a laugh.

8. Clinton Sounds Like a Leader |

Bush doesn't. He always sounds like "idiot frat boy", which he is.

9. But he needs to withdraw from his association with either of the Bushes |
|
This touchy-feeling fund raising crap with poppy has got to end. He needs to distance himself from these crooks. It tarnishes him and legitimizes them. I know he knows this, so there must be some other grand political scheme, but it's just so unpleasant to see him pal around with the the way he does.

10. What good would that do? |
|
You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Clinton is diplomat and a gentleman and only a tiny fringe here on DU think otherwise. Leave the negative attacks to Howard Dean and those who have a knack for it. Clinton has NEVER been a negative divisive person and never will be. Why does everyone expect him to suddenly change? He is his own person and can do as he wishes.
