11. Why oh Why
don't we even have one single fucking Dem that would stand up to this regime and tell it like it is. I would bet most of our Dem's piss down their legs when they see the Balls this man has!
Ok I'm sorry he is not worried about the election and kissing repuke ass. I have NEVER once even heard ANYONE in office go after these lying bastards like he can.

12. Well said. Gawd we need someone who speaks truth to power.
I just noticed Hitchens is sweating like a pig. Galloway looks cool and in charge. What a guy!

10. Wouldn't it be something if the repukes get that change in the
constitution to allow a foreign-born president for Arnie, and Galloway emigrates and kicks his butt in a presidential race!

Just a little fantasy...

14. Problem: Arnie is a citizen, Galloway is not. And becoming one...
is not exactly a hop, skip & jump.

13. It's a shame we're not seeing two *American* statesmen debating.
After all, this is American foreign policy being discussed.

That said, even though my heart is with Galloway, I find that emotions don't work so well in a debate format... I'm concerned that Galloway's heat will overcome the light he's trying to get across. Meanwhile, Hitchens maintains a generally calm approach, even if he's so dead wrong with most of what he's saying.

17. Yes, that also tends to distracts from Hitchens' points (if there were
any). :)

19. I for one
have seen that calm approach does not seem to work. The repukes do not expect anyone to stand up to them and tell the truth like Galloway does and if we look at our government who has control? We need a person like him to kick ass and kick ass loud and clear.

23. But we're not talking about a stump speech here, but rather a
traditional debate format. A calm, rational approach is the only way to express points that will stick. Light over heat.

24. Exactly right. They don't understand a rational intellectual argument.
They want talking points that ring like advertising jingles. Galloway is clear and direct and most of all, believable.

27. Yes, everyone kept saying BookTV. I've always called it CSpan2.
And what was with Hitchens, you're on the telly bit? I have always heard that he overwhelmed his opponent. I was expecting more from him.

26. What a tragedy it is
That he has gone over to the other side. He was great once... such a shame. He has a command of the English language that would be beneficial to the left in framing clear cut message. Imagine the combo of Galloway's passion and Hitchens once laser like turn of phrase. So sad that Hitch lost his way...
