Will Bush speak at the next NAACP convention?
He hasn't made an appearance there in five years, but given the overwhelming need for positive PR (particularly with African-Americans), do you think he'll show up next time?

1. Only if he wants more people
to expose his hypocrisy. I'm puking already.

3. But given his propensity for cheap photo ops, I think he might go.

7. Oh it would rule if he did
can you imagine the booing and hissing.

I would laugh my ass off.

It will never happen cause Bushco knows that they can not control the croud.

4. Well, if his boat is still sinking...
... and Rove is playing pinochle in the slammer, and his mother thinks that rubbing a nappy head or two in public for good luck will help, yeah, he might think about it for a while... but, then, he'll not go.

I have a feeling from now on, Bush touring places predominantly of color will be like Nixon's trip through Latin America. Lots of fist-shaking and old eggs and older vegetables.

6. Speaking of...
Isn't there a pic of Dumbass rubbing the bald head of an African-American? I know I've seen it here before.

8. There are plenty of pictures of him...
... kissing black bald heads, but I don't recall him rubbing any--that's a bit too plantation ante-bellum for even Rove to turn into something else. :)

5. I don't know why they kept inviting him or asking to meet with him
They shouldn't have ever even acknowledged that he was the president at all.

11. Why would they want him???
He ignored thousands of them in NOLA, MS and AL and would do the same again if given the opportunity.

Fuck *, we're taking him out!! Frog marched that is.

12. He and Rove will seek to make leaders out of the people they can
control. By handing power to top down people - perhaps in the church - they keep control. NAACP will not be included because it is a democratic organization and represent all (or most)people of color. They need to wedge the religious & the middle class from the poor and economically "useless" consumers.

19. They invited him before, despite not liking him.
I think it's just a matter of deference to the office rather than the person.

their deference to a he-harlot-monkey-man.

Problem is, it's usually only adults in attendance - no little kids to pose with.

23. Good PR with whomever will help him look good to his base.
Whether the PR victims are part of his base or not doesn't matter.
