Did Rush mean to use the "N" word. . .you be the judge. . .
I know this is probably old, but I was unable to get on to DU to discuss it when I first heard it.

You be the judge:

1. I listened to it the day he said it: my opinion is that the comment was a
very fast freudian slip.

He was talking really fast...like he had done a couple of lines, and then sounded like he caught it, and corrected himself.

I do not think he did it on purpose.

However, I think that it shows what his little Oxy/Coke riddled brain was thinking...very clearly: Rush is a racist, and a few other things to boot. This is not a decent man attempting to do his job.

3. I think in his excitement while a) choking down a handful of pills
or b) adjusting his ill-fitting hood, he slipped up and "treated" his audience to probably what he refers to Nagin off air.

He's a piece of shit.

4. Yes, he did.

He didn't actually SAY that word, but if he wasn't thinking of the "N" word - and more importantly - didn't use of the "N" word in his common everyday speech off mic, then his mispronounciation of the mayor's name wouldn't have come out quite that way.

It's no surprise that Limbaugh is a sub-human racist peice of shit.

8. Its all about the track record. . .
. . .had this slip come out of a John McCain or a Jack Kemp (both conservatives) I would not have thought twice, but given Limbaughs track record he has damned himself.

13. Not all conservatives are racists or bigots, but Limbaugh certainly is.
My late father was a devoted shittohead and he liked to say that Limbaugh probably was a racist but even if he wasn't he certainly provided aid and comfort to racists and bigots.

I consider people who are not actually racists or bigots but who appeal to racists and bigots by pretending to agree with their views to be more evil than the actual racists and bigots. Many republican politicians fit in this category.

9. Every Ditto-monkey, to a "man" (or "woman") KNEW EXACTLY what he meant.
and they all laughed and shouted "Kudos, Rush!" at their radios.

It was covered all over Air America Radio, too.

10. Even If He Did...It's Not Illegal To Say "Nigger"
Sorry, not in the 7 dirty words. I've never heard of any radio or television station being fined for using the word.

It's a socially taboo word..."PC" per se...and this is one thing Rushbo has always hated. Plus, does it matter if he uses the "N" word...or his endless rhetoric that easily can be interpreted as being highly racist.

11. Its not illegal, but I'm sure his advertisers might find it hard to . . .
. . .to continue to support his program if they ever got any heat for it.

12. I Dunno...
I hear a lot of wingnut investment houses advertise on Rush's show. They'll keep popping the money to WLS and other stations even if Oxybrain is indicted and convicted...they'll pay for remote equipment from his damn jail cell.

14. He said Nager, and he said it on purpose.
He knew what he was doing. He thinks it's clever and he does it all the time. He knew his ditto heads would get it. He gets his point across and yet he can say he didn't say the N word.
