Why Not Victory? - AKA Road to Fascism - Denver Post.
One of our local WINGNUTS has a column in today's Denver Post, regarding the war in Iraq, and how we should go about "winning" it. He shares 15 points, most of which are - well - jawdropping to say the least. Here you go!

SNIP

Here's my "Why Not Victory?" list of what President Bush and the United States should do:

1. Address Congress and call this what it is: World War IV.

2. Send another 50,000 troops to Iraq.

3. Increase the defense budget by $200 billion.

4. Institute a draft for the armed forces.

1. As long as he signs up
and goes to war to get killed, I say go for it!

God these people are clueless.

7. I'm not holding my breath on that one.
Just sent a letter to the editor with that point.

2. Oh, and point number 5 is "Invade Syria".
Just thought you'd like to know.

3. I hope every single member of his family is included in that draft. Then
maybe the idiot will get a clue about what war is. What it really means.

This guy is one of the biggest hacks trying to pass for a journalist that I've forced myself to read in a long time. What a hateful, delusional idiot. He got all that from 911? Frigging delusional moran.

4. He's normally just run-of-the-mill nutty, but this one -
just sent him over the edge. Did you see how he also insinuated that mosques in Denver are plotting another spate of violence like 911?

He's got to be off his meds.

8. Yeah, I saw that. But there was just so much craziness in that one column
that I was almost appalled that it got printed in a major newspaper. But then, Denver has a strange mix of politics and crazy going on up there. I don't know if it's the altitude or what. Three of my daughters live there. Two were bushbots**, totally brainwashed. Thankfully Micheal More set one of them straight. The other is lost to the darkside. I can't tell if it's because she gets her political leanings from her SO, or she's just that stupid. I know that's a terrible thing to say about a child, but ignorance on that level just can't be denied, even by a parent. (The third kid is the youngest daughter and she lives with me now. I am making sure that the girl understands the reality of the situation. As far as I can tell, and I've pretty sure I'm right, she sees the repukes for the bunch of crooks that they are. Especially the bloody bastards at the top of the heap. But I must say, she was pretty politically ignorant with she moved in. (She's 23.) I find that appalling. I was politically aware at 16. But she lived with her dad and he makes a box of rocks look eligible for a Nobel Prize.

Anyway, that article was obscene in it's ignorance and blatant warmongering foaming at the mouth.

5. He forgot #16.
Turn themselves in to the Hague and prepare to stand trial for crimes against humanity.

6. If he'd started that as #1, I could sign on.
For that matter, so could the rest of the world.

9. I'm willing to bet
that this guy is another one of those columnists on the Bush payroll. How many have been exposed so far? Two or three?

11. Oh, it's John Andrews. What a surprise.
He's been getting wackier lately, and he wasn't all that non-wacky to begin with.
