4. It looks like it's going to hit south of Houston, perhaps Brownsville
San Antonio, Austin and Crawford may get a crap load of rain out of it though.

Than again, a week is a long time! It could swing north and hit New Orleans for all we know. I would bet on South Texas or Northern Mexico though.

5. That map looks like it is headed toward Brownsville...
but, who knows with hurricanes? That's all NOLA evacuees need, is another Cat 4, 5 to hit the Astrodome! :scared:

8. Yeah, 5-day forecasts are not that precise.
My understanding is that the balloon-shaped 'envelope' on the 'warnings and 5-day cone' graphic show the range of possibilities, with the black line being a combination of the average of several (about 5?) models, combined with some educated guesswork.
