Donna Brazile's op-ed from Washington Post. I just have to shake my head.
:(

<snip>On Thursday night President Bush spoke to the nation from my city. I am not a Republican. I did not vote for George W. Bush -- in fact, I worked pretty hard against him in 2000 and 2004. But on Thursday night, after watching him speak from the heart, I could not have been prouder of the president and the plan he outlined to empower those who lost everything and to rebuild the Gulf Coast.<snip>

Excuse me? What speech was Donna watching? THIS is why Democrats SUCK. That speech SUCKED and she's kissin' his ass? I know she's from NOLA. I know she has family there. I know her city was demolished, but is the woman DEAF, BLIND and STUPID? :wtf: She couldn't have been more proud of the president????@#$%^%$#@

Huh?

Give me a fucking break.

A terrible spokesperson she always will be. I don't care particularly how she is as a human being. But as a public figure for the Democratic Party she's less than worthless.

36. As long as there are "political talk shows" on Fox, MSNBC & CNN, Donna
Brazile will be around to fill the role of wishy-washy "fine, just walk all over me, I won't complain" token democrat. The best thing to do is just ignore her and those shows.

she could have kept her damn mouth SHUT and said nothing instead of telling us how PROUD SHE WAS OF HIM. My g-d. How sick is that? Donna just needs to leave the party and leave it now. She does us NO GOOD. NONE!

31. An economic liberal?
How?

He is refusing to raise taxes to help with the reconstruction, but instead will be cutting programs -- what programs do you think he will cut to pay for this? And the safety net programs that will be cut are the same ones that are needed now to help the people who need help. The end result will be borrowing against the future, again, the same reaganomics crap he's been doing for the last five years.

11. on this one
Maybe she should be excused, she had a huge portion of her family lost,
displaced and so forth in NO and she might just be out of her frickin
political mind.

(not to excuse the past or anything else, just this one incident).

(I agree, get rid of the DLC!)

My, that light tone and his shirt, they matched!

Donna never was a person of vision or deep understanding - a big reason why Al Gore lost. She is proving again here.

She did a lousy job running Gore's campaign in 2000, and she has been a lousy dem spokesperson ever since.

She should just go away.

33. That was my first thought
She had been missing much of her family for the first week or so. This has been their families home for so long. I am sure that they would like to go back and try to rebuild their lives. I have had my doubts about Donna through the past, but right now I think that she is just going along. We see through the charade, but maybe we wouldn't if the shoe was on the other foot.

19. Every time I've pointed out that Donna Brazile is an idiot, I get flamed.
So, I'll just do it again. She lost Gore the margin he needed to overcome the FL debacle in 2000. She did nothing but undermine the Kerry campaign in 2004, and she has cast a pall over anything Dean has done since becoming DNC chair.

And now she shows her true colors.

Yeah, Donna, you're cooking with grease.

24. Not happy with Brazile at all...but in her defense
She is probably still extremely emotional about Hurricane Katrina.

New Orleans is her city, and for a time she couldn't locate her disabled sister, who lives in an assisted-living place.

She was on Wolf Blitzer, pleading with NOLA officials to find her sister (40-something, and has resided in this assited living place since brain surgery a few years ago).

So while I'm not being a Brazile apologist for her op/ed, I can understand that she may be extremely emotional right now.

And sometimes the worst time to put pen to paper, is when you are emotional.
