Can't make it to DC, 9/24......Check your State,
many states and cites are having simultaneous Rallys, Marches and Protest Events.

Someone ask yesterday, How did the outrage against Vietnam start?

It started with "A" Protest and ballooned into the whole country becoming polarized against the war.

This is the time. This started with Cindy/Camp Crawford and can now be continued in every state.

I hope DC is packed with Anti-war & Peace Protesters.
We cannot all go to DC. We CAN check to see what is going on in our state or city and participate.

This is one site with Information. I'm sure there are many.

Search by State or Country

The above site (by state) has information such as this if your city or state is planning any type of event.

(We are going to Birmingham, hoping for a huge turnout and I will bring back photos.)

Birmingham, Alabama
Alabama Says: Stop the War on Iraq!
Saturday, September 24th 2005 2 pm
Statewide Peace Rally And March Announced for Downtown Birmingham on Sept. 24

On Saturday, Sept. 24, peace advocates from across Alabama -- and beyond -- will gather in downtown Birmingham at Kelly Ingram Park to demand an end to the war on Iraq. The message is: Stop the killing! Support our troops, bring them home now! Money for human needs, not war!

Activities include a rally and march. See our website for details.

There are also other countries protesting (9/24) and hopefully more than are mentioned on this site.

Someone posted today, there does not seeem to be much interest. I hope they are wrong.

It just takes a minute to check your area and a day for many of us to become involved.

Here are some other DU links pertaining to 9/24 that have gotten lost in the posts.

Can't make it to DC on Saturday, but there is a rally near here, in Cedar Rapids, IA and I saw it thanks to your link. If you go to DC, please inform those of us who can't be there how it goes. Once again, thanks. DU is the greatest.
A great big welcome to DU as well.

I had no idea anything was going on close enough for me to make it.
Thanks to them and all others who have kept threads going today regarding 9/24.
