Just caught the last of what was seemingly Ted Turner bruising wolfie
up pretty good. Anyway next it was hurricane Rita. Rita is off the northeast coast of Haiti and soon to be by Cuba. Not once did the weatherman or puke blitzer even mention either country. Like they didn't even exist:wtf:

1. I noticed that with most stations
The Bahamas and Cuba apparently don't exist. Rest assured the Cubans are the best prepared for a Cat 1 which is all it should be when it passes them. Ted Turner was great with Letterman.

2. Americans just don't give a shit
I noticed that last time, too.

No one cared about the Central American countries that got ravaged.

3. OH ! weather dude last night was talking about potential paths ...
... and after he laid out the possibilities for Texas and the Gulf States, he said something like 'but it would be best if it turns and hits Mexico'.

WTF ? Aren't there human beings there too, who would suffer just as much as if the damn thing hit downtown Indy ??

6. my eyeballs popped out when he took leslie on DIRECTLY about the N. Korea
issues, saying something to him to the effect of: don't give out opinions if you haven't been there and know what you're talking about ... then, Turner made reference to his just having been in N. Korea with Amanpour, and leslie did his "poor me" song and dance about maybe going along with Ted too next time ............ gee, I wonder why Amanpour would rate higher in Turner's esteem than whiny-ass-puss leslie blither?

10. That Was A Precious Bitchslap
Very telling...first, how you could see Leslie wasn't one of Turner's guys (he got promoted after Time/Warner took over) and his obvious tiring of Wolfie interjecting opinions as part of "reporting" or "interviewing". He was trying to load the question and Turner called his bluff.

Also, how Leslie appear stunned by getting put down by the man who founded the network. You could see Leslie wanted to be the star here and wasn't getting the respect from Ted he craved. The mention of Christiann's name added fuel to the fire as that just slammed Wolfie a little further down the notch.

Poor Leslie...he's not enjoying his job lately. Shill as he might for this regime and try to make black into white or spin the company line, it's just not as easy as it used to be. Time to bring in the panel of right wing "experts" to give him some cover and breathing space.
