news from the freeps re: march in D.C. on Saturday.

“Peace Mom” Cindy Sheehan is not the only one throwing rallies anymore. From Sept. 23-25 there will be a flurry of Pro-Bush Rallies in Washington, DC.

William Greene, President of RightMarch.com is available for immediate interviews to talk about these rallies.

Here's Updated Details on our "Support The Troops AND Their Mission" Weekend in D.C.

SEPTEMBER 23rd -- The weekend will begin with a pro-troops counter-demonstration on Friday at 7:00 pm ET at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where the forces of the Left will be gathering in the faces of our brave troops that have been wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. In contrast, the pro-Bush demonstrators from RightMarch.com and FreeRepublic.com will be there to salute the troops and thank them for their courage, dedication, commitment and service. The address of the event is at: 7200 Georgia Ave. N.W., across from the main gate at Elder St. and Georgia Ave.

SEPTEMBER 24th -- Saturday is the "Defend the White House" rally that begins at 10:00am Saturday at the Navy Memorial, which is on Pennsylvania Ave. between 9th and 7th streets. Speakers will include Gary Qualls, whose son died a hero's death in Iraq, and who was the first to pull up the cross that Cindy Sheehan had put in the ground with HIS son's name on it. RightMarch.com will be joining with ProtestWarrior.com, who has a permit for a large area along the parade route to counter the main "anti-war" parade as they pass by. This location will be revealed during our rally at the Navy Memorial but it is projected to be around 4:00pm ET.

SEPTEMBER 25th -- 12 Noon to 3 PM!!!
Sunday brings the large event hosted by RightMarch.com, Move America Forward, FreeRepublic.com, ProtestWarrior.com, Military Families Voice of Victory, and others. This promises to be a well-attended, heavily-covered rally featuring active duty service-men and -women and their families, as well as the families of those killed in action. The groups are scheduled to meet on the Capitol Mall at 4th St. NW near the Air and Space Museum.

This non-partisan rally is being held to honor military families, their loved ones serving in our armed forces, and their mission fighting the war on terrorism in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world. Military family members and those who support them are encouraged to attend to show the nation and the world that they stand firm in their resolve to win the war on terrorism.

Speakers will include Gold Star parents, family members of service men and women, veterans, government officials from the Coalition of the Willing, and Iraqi citizens... as well an appearance by the musical duo The Right Brothers, one of the greatest patriotic, conservative, "no holding back" bands in America today, to inspire us with songs that'll make us laugh, make us cry, and make us proud of who we are and what makes this country so great. Current and former Members of Congress are also being invited to speak.

SEPTEMBER 26th -- For those still sticking around Monday, RightMarch.com is scheduled to join with military families to lobby congress to "stay the course" of our military missions overseas. The antiwar groups will be lobbying Congress that day, and have promised numerous actions at the White House, Pentagon and other facilities, some possibly leading to their pre-planned and deliberate arrest.

More information on Monday's activities will be announced at the weekend rallies and on the website: www.RightMarch.com.

5. I live in the DC metro area. This morning on the local news
city officials estimate this (anti-war)protest will be the biggest rally since Feb. 2003. They expect up to 100,000 protesters to show up at the WH.

The nation overwhelmingly dissapproves of the war now, so we really have nothing to worry about. Our crowd will dwarf theirs, don't worry. :hi:

2. These events are a Looong way away from the real march...
not only in IQ, but in milage. Nobody is going to notice a dozen freepers holding magic-marker signs - they'll blend in with the homeless folks they hate so much.

4. Well, more power to them...
This is what America is supposed to be all about, right -- freedom to assemble and freedom of speech. I just hope they keep it friendly.

9. You know they won't
keep it clean, the repugs are dirty conniving droids. Remember Boward County, and the recount. They will probably bring in black water. I also find it ironic, to start the parade at Walter Reed, I'm sorry says GW, but we are going to tear this place down. Remember, they got nothing, you can"t defend a lie.

At the last D.C. march, we actually had to point them out to fellow marchers, lest they miss the throngs. :)

22. I know I'm cynical - my first thought
(after the porta-potties, of course), was "how much are some of these people getting paid?" It defies logic that anyone can be "pro-shrub" anymore, although I realize there is still a percentage that would be pro-the jackass no matter what he did, but still, any THINKING person would be/should be embarassed to advertise that they were "pro-shrub". I suppose THINKING is the operative word there. I know a couple of hard core king george supporters, and I can't say they do any thinking....
