bush administration official: 'WE'RE SUNK'!
Edited on Mon Sep-19-05 03:26 PM by cynatnite
But at this stage of the game, barring some imaginative political moves that bear some resemblance to the Bush Administration circa 2002, Republicans on Capitol Hill and even some longtime Bush team members in various Cabinet level departments say this Administration is done for.

"You run down the list of things we thought we could accomplish and you have to wonder what we thought we were thinking," says a Bush Administration member who joined on in 2001. "You get the impression that we're more than listless. We're sunk."

Too pessimistic? Maybe not. Rumors are flying through various departments of longtime senior Bush loyalists looking to jump, but with few opportunities in the private sector to make the jump look like anything more than desperation. Almost daily, complaints from Cabinet level Departments come in to the White House about lack of communication coordination on even basic policy matters.

8. It's not as bad as it looks
They don't mean the initial reaction to Katrina (letting the people go without help for 6 days) but rather his proposals to rebuild. Not that I trust him to do any good, but it sounds as if that's what he meant.

In fact, I've been wondering if the whole strategy if for him to propose spending money to help people with the express understanding that his Congress will shoot the proposals down.

4. Once Again, Ma'am
People who think government is the problem should not be put in charge of governments, any more than a pimp should be placed in charge of Baptist congregation.

Governance is hard work, and it is clear these wretches are not up to it....

"LET'S GO GET THOSE BUSH BASTARDS!"

5. There's no such thing as "policy" in this administration
Early reports noted a complete lack of policy analysts. The entire adminsitration is about politics.

9. The 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Titanic has hit a Global Warming.....
Iceberg and All hands are ready to jump ship before (s)he sinks to the lowest depths of the polls. No one will throw Captain bush a life ring so he will probably also abandon ship in lieu of sinking to the bottom. We are witnessing a leaderSHIP disaster of oceanic proportions.

11. This is exactly what the neocons want
They want our country to descend into anarchy. Then they can sit back and watch more people die and soon enough they'll have the whole place to themselves.

10. Reality has finally set in and they are uncomfortable with it.

The gullible flunkies bought into the Bushco horseshit as though they were witnessing the second coming of Christ. I just hope they get pissed to no end. So much so that they will want to get even with the lowlifes that sold them out and made them look so foolish. Everyone but them could see the truth. Like we have been saying all along, it's the old story about the Emperor's New Clothes.
