Snorting Coke & Drinking Whiskey for decades can lead to Insanity?
thanks for the idea catwoman.

researchers seem to agree that decades of cocaine abuse and severe alcoholism can lead to insanity among certain presidents of the united states, a fact that is NEVER mentioned in the mainstream press.

of course, if it had been bill 'i never inhaled' clinton, it would be mentioned daily.

1. When I was a kid. . .
in the good old days, when men were men and women were in the kitchen, parents and teachers told their kids that in the good ol' US of A, any kid can grow up to be president. Ain't america great? And then there were the admonitions not to drink and take drugs; otherwise you might end up on Skid Row, a bum.

Now, it seems, you can only grow up and be president if you have a gazillion dollars and have sold out to corporate America, and if you drink and do drugs you can become president.

My how times have changed.

2. I've often wondered if untreated syphilis adds to that equation.
Wasn't he known to be a professional ladies man back in the daze?

3. As I mentioned on the marijuana/insanity thread
there is a condition known as alcoholic dementia, which affects chronic long-term abusers of alcohol. It fries both short and long term memory, and destroys the ability to concentrate. Paranoia can occur, as well as delusions. Patients with this condition can become very defensive, and even violent, when they are frustrated by their memory loss.

Same for cocaine. Both caused by brain damage resulting from ingestion of toxic substances.

Thirty years of both would definitely make the person in question a candidate for such a diagnosis.
