If you could make bush melt down with one question, what would it be? |
|
i can think of so many, but i pray that one good reporter with cajones would ask bush that magic meltdown moment question, so that all the world could see what a cockroach he really is.

But he's already been asked at least one meltdown question.
Remember this?
Q I know you said there will be a time for politics. But you've also said you wanted to change the tone in Washington. Howard Dean recently seemed to muse aloud whether you had advance knowledge of 9/11. Do you agree or disagree with the RNC that this kind of rhetoric borders on political hate speech?
THE PRESIDENT: I uh.... There's time for politics..... There's time for politics, and I -- it's an absurd insinuation.

|
I think it would be interesting for a reporter to ask Bush again what his biggest mistake as president has been. He's already grudgingly taken some modicum of responsibility for Katrina, but I think he should be put on the spot as to a specific mistake he's made.
Everyone knows Bush made mistakes (even some of those who still support him), but I think he still believes he didn't make a single one and just viewed taking responsibility as a quick political escape. If asked to name one mistake he made during Katrina, he won't be able to come up with one, and the reporters will feel forced (as they should be) to keep on him, since the fairest verdict so far is that everyone screwed up at least a little.
I can only imagine the press corps reading off a list of things like eating cake, playing guitar, hiring Michael Brown, etc. :-)

Either he states definitively a specific mistake he made during the whole Katrina fiasco (which we know will never happen--it took him five years just to accept just a little bit of limited responsibility for anything), or he denies as before that he's made no mistakes, which would largely prove (or at the very least imply) that his accepting responsibility really was just a BS political move and completely insincere.

It could be a neocon, or the PNAC but someone is obviously telling this administration how to handle everything.

'The government doesn't have to help poor people -- because they are lazy.'
It's what he said to his Harvard Professor Tsurumi. I would point out that he denied saying it then and does he still deny that he said it? Mr. pResident do you think poor people are that way because they are lazy?
Why do you think we have so many poor people in the richest greatest country in the world and do you plan to do anything about it? The number of people living in poverty (read him the stats) has risen under your watch.

41. How about the 1 year of "community service?' |
|
<COCAINE: According to a new book, three independent sources close to the Bush family report that Governor Bush was arrested in 1972 for cocaine possession, and taken to Harris County Jail, but avoided jail or formal charges through an informal diversion plan involving community service with Project P.U.L.L., an inner city Houston program for troubled youths at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center in Houston's dirt-poor Third Ward. (In another new book, reporter Bill Minutaglio, writes that the year of community service was arranged by the Governor's father, ex-president Bush, after he caught Bush Jr. driving drunk.)
That year certainly is out of character with the rest of Bush Jr.'s life. Before and after 1972, he was a rich, hard drinking playboy. Suddenly, and only that one time in his life, he worked for a liberal charity in an inner city ghetto. As soon as the year was over, he resumed his previous pattern and has done no charity work since.>
The only thing * has acknowledged is that he did exactly 1 year @ the youth center ..... he has said he was helping run it ...... HE HAD TO SIGN IN & OUT.

With advance apologies to the gay community - but I always thought GHWB was repressed.

86. Not counting your court-ordered community service, |
|
please list three instances of any non-political volunteer service you've done. Here are some possibilities:
Volunteer tutoring? Little League coach? Mothers March of Dimes? Sunday School teaching? Food bank collecting? Pet rescuing? Driving old folks to appointments? Helping at a community clinic? Candy Striper hours at a hospital? Police Pal? Fund raising for Public Broadcasting?
Anything?

I know your parents didn't let you grieve properly for Robin. It's time to say goodbye and let her go.

98. Name me one thing that you have accomplished |
|
in your personal family life, business or political career than you can deem a success?
Family? Dysfunctional family life as a young man, and as an adult. Alcohol and drug abuse, self-medication symptoms of an underlying mental condition.
Business? Total failure. Bankrupt and disinterested in anything remotely related to hard work and dedication to success.
Political career? Absolute disaster. The worst thing that ever happened to our country. If this man would have been president at the height of the Cold War, we would not exist as a nation today. The Russians would have walked in.
