What benefit has the invasion of Iraq brought to the US?
Edited on Tue Sep-20-05 10:12 AM by Squatch
How were people here, in this country, positively affected by the war in Iraq?

- Security?
- Lower oil prices?

- Free from the threat of SCUD-B's?

There have been no positive results of the war in Iraq that the average, everyday American can touch, feel, or see.

On edit: despite the allegations of the first two responses, I do not, in fact, hate America. Now, back to your regularly scheduled program...

2. But we're so much safer with Saddam out of power
and fighting them over there instead of saving Katrina victims.

Why do you hate America?

14. positive
You ask what is positive about the invasion of Iraq. I will tell you of one positive thing. It has unveiled the anti-Christ to the world. If the world fails to act on this great evil, it is the world's fault, not just the USA's fault.

We are now seeing catastrophic events occur, especially here in the USA. That is a positive result because that is what it takes for people to actually realize what a great evil has fallen upon us.

I saw a bumper sticker yesterday that said, "Welcome to the Dark Side". I thought to myself pfffftttt .... Dark side hell - welcome to the black side ... the black side being beyond dark. The black side is in our faces and it is EVIL.

What next I ask? Time to do something to purge this great evil that has fallen upon us.

How? That is the problem.

It brought the incredibly sane voice of Cindy Sheehan into national politics.

Would have been nice if we hadn't needed her, though.

Because duh its not like they might be planning anything over here right now.. because they are all over there. Didn't you know the ones fighting US troops over there are the same ones who were behind 9/11?

26. if you are still driving on gasoline in 20 years, iraq will be why.
OIL is why we are there.

but not oil today. oil tomorrow. to maintain the status quo of the american economy after the sauds run out of oil or are overthrown by wahhabist fascism. that is the strategic goal of the iraqi occupation; make sure that oil flows to america, not china.

to believe otherwise does not give the PNAC enough credit.

remember, this administration is OIL MEN. who would know better the status of the global supply & the need to conquer the second largest, possibly the largest remaining, reserve?
